VIDEO: We sacked 20 players and still beat you – Kotoko fans mock Hearts of Oak

Asante Kotoko fans are mocking Hearts of Oak supporters after beating them to win the maiden edition of the Democracy Cup.

Asante Kotoko on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, defeated rivals Hearts of Oak 2-1 to win the Democracy Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium in the presence of Speaker Alban Bagbin.

Goals from Justice Blay and Peter Amidu sealed the victory for the Porcupine Warriors while Asamoah Boateng got the consolation goal for the Phobians.

Reacting to the victory, Asante Kotoko fans who spoke to Happy Sports said Hearts of Oak are a disgrace for allowing A team that sacked 20 players to still beat them.

“We sacked over 20 players, assembled a team within 1 week and still beat them…Oh Hearts of Oak.”

Hearts of Oak fans who also spoke to Happy said they will surely bounce back from the defeat.

“We are stilll recruiting players, we will come back stronger.”
