Black Stars B media officer Richmond Opoku Afriyie has disclosed that, the team has not yet received any support from the Sports Ministry and the Ghana Football Association.

Ghana will take on Cote D’Ivoire in the semi-finals of the ongoing WAFU Cup of Nations on Tuesday.

The Black Stars B edge out Burkina Faso on penalties to reach this stage of the competition.

In an interview on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports with Ohene Bampoh Brenya, Opoku Afriyie indicated that, despite the challenges in camp, the players have been psyched up for the game today.

“The conditions have not changed, since the last time we reported. I had a lot of calls from people asking me why I had to speak about the plight of the team in camp. Things have not changed even though we have won two matches and progress to the semi-finals”.

Opoku Afriyie also indicated that despite the lack of motivation in camp the players are poised for victory in today’s game.

“We have been able to psych the players and I can say this is one of the most patriotic groups I have ever seen”.

“We want the guys to know the importance of getting into the final. We are still encouraging the players despite the lack of motivation”, he added.

The Black Stars B will hope to defend the trophy they won two years ago in Ghana
