Waris, Dwamena, Attamah Dropped As Grant Names Final 23 For AFCON

in-form striking sensation, Raphael Dwamena has been dropped from Coach Avram Grant’s final 23-man squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations billed to be staged in Gabon this month.
The Lustenau goal-poacher who has netted 18 goals in 20 appearances this season could not make the cut despite his blistering form.
Lorient’s Player of the Month of November, Abdul Majeed Waris has also been dropped from the squad as well as ex-youth international Joseph Attamah Laweh who has been in some good form for his Turkish club Başakşehir F.K.
Meanwhile, Fatau Dauda also replaces Adam Kwarasey who is out of the squad due to injury.
The rest of the team will continue with the training camp in the UAE until the 13th of January when they will leave for Gabon.
Below is the final 23-man squad for the AFCON:

Harrison Afful (Columbus Crew, USA), Andy Yiadom (Barnsley, England), Baba Rahman (Schalke, Germany), Frank Acheampong (Anderlecht, Belgium),  (John Boye (Sivasspor, Turkey), Jonathan Mensah (Anzhi, Russia), Daniel Amartey (Leicester City, England), Edwin Gyimah (Orlando Pirates, South Africa) 
Midfielders:
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Udinese, Italy), Afriyie Acquah (Torino, Italy), Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid, Spain)  Mubarak Wakaso (Panathinaikos, Greece), Christian Atsu (Newcastle, England), Ebenezer Ofori (AIK Stockholm, Sweden), Samuel Tetteh (Leifering, Austria),
