Chairman of the National Election security taskforce who doubles as the Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has assured Ghanaians that the upcoming general elections in December will be violence-free.

According to him, the security service has changed the paradigm of the elections security management strategies. Dr. Akuffo Dampare reveals he and his team have been working tirelessly, day and night, to ensure proper security management before, during and after the elections.

He mentioned that, they have institutionalized a mainstream Election Security Management system, adding that, ‘’our election security management have become the process instead of an event’’.

‘’Over the years we use to plan from the point of our security towards of election as an event but in recent times we have institutionalized a mainstream election security in our all operations’’.
