The Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) has announced plans to hold a meeting to decide which political party it will endorse in the upcoming December elections.

This follows the disqualification of GFP’s newly appointed flagbearer, Philip Appiah Kubi popularly known as Roman Fada by the Electoral Commission (EC) due to serious errors and illegalities found on his nomination form.

In response to the EC’s decision on Tuesday November 12, the GFP’s National Organiser, Richard Botchway, addressed the media in Accra, revealing that the party’s national executives would soon convene to discuss which candidate or party they will back in the December polls.

Botchway further stated that all political parties are aware the GFP will not be fielding a candidate in the upcoming election, but they are committed to restructuring the party and decide on a new flagbearer in future elections.
