We will take urgent steps to remedy unpaid salaries of 321 pharmacists - Finance Minister Dr. Ato Forson

Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has assured the settlement of salaries of 321 pharmacists who were not paid by the previous administration.

According to Dr. Ato Forson, it was brought to his attention that 321 pharmacists who were employed had not been paid a pesewa since June 2023 during his engagement with the youth on social media.

He apologized and assured them that urgent steps will be taken to remedy the situation during the presentation of the 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament.

“We engaged the youth on social media as part of the budget consultation and it was revealed that 321 pharmacists who were employed have not been paid since June 2023.”

“We will take urgent steps to remedy this situation immediately. I am deeply sorry for the harrowing experience you endured. You deserved better, and I will make it right,” the Finance Minister said.
