Y-Triangle thrills music lovers with ‘hot’ tunes on Y- rated

Ghana’s premier urban radio station, YFM has pulled off a triple threat virtual musical concert with combined efforts of the Y-Triangle (Y107.9FM Accra, Y102.5FM Kumasi and Y97.9FM in Takoradi).

The Y-rated initiative, a virtual performance show where slected artistes showcase their prowess aims at keeping the Y-army entertained in their own homes whilst keeping them safe from the COVID-19 pandemic.

But for the first time ever, the Y-Triangle refused to hold the Y-rated independently and rather linked all three stations together in a singular seemless transmission with great musical performances from artistes in Takoradi, Kumasi and Accra.

Holding down the fort in Y97.9FM, Takoradi were the ever versatile ‘Taadi’s’ very own, Ayesem and Nemesis Loso. They both entertained listeners with some dope tunes from their collections from 6pm to 7pm.

Taking the show to a whole new level was rapper Strongman who spat some deep bars from Y102.5FM, Kumasi for an uninterrupted hour. Fans in the triangle and beyond were fired up and kept calling for more.

From Y107.9FM, Accra, the only alternative rockband groups from Ghana, ‘Ashawo’ and ‘Dark Suburb’ gave Ghanaians a feel of the rock genre which Ghanaians have began developing an appetite for. The two bands put up outstanding performances Ghanaians will never forget from 8pm-9pm.

Programmes Manager of YFM, Kumasi, Nathaniel Osei Kuffuor (Mahony) speaking on behalf of Program Managers of the Y-Triangle, said, “The whole team decided to have this activation and we are pleased to have given listeners a blast. Always expect bigger and better content from us.”

He informed all who missed the Y-rated to visit the Facebook and Instagram platforms of the Yfm triangle @y1079 @y1025 and @y979 to have a feel of the night.
