The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale, has announced the opening of registration for Ghanaian youth to apply for job opportunities in Abu Dhabi under the Work Abroad Programme.
Earlier this year, President John Mahama introduced the policy during his New Year’s engagement with the diplomatic corps, describing it as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen ties between Ghana and other nations. “We’ll also launch the Ghana Labour Export Programme, which will allow skilled Ghanaian workers to work abroad for specified periods in order to gain experience and also to contribute their quota to other countries,” he stated.
In a recent post on his official page, the YEA CEO confirmed Abu Dhabi as the first destination and announced the commencement of the programme. He urged the youth to take advantage of the opportunity: “The portal is opened now, Work Abroad to Abu-Dhabi secured.”
All eligible Ghanaians are encouraged to apply by visiting the designated website: http://apply.yea.gov.gh and following the necessary prompts.
