For those who have always wanted to be in the spotlight but shied away because you were not professional singers, this is your opportunity to shine.
Come February 15, YFM’s ‘Room Service’ hosted by Agnes Ntow will be hosting a live Karaoke sing-off at Havanna Lounge inside Marina Mall at 7pm. The event is exclusive for amateurs with a knack for singing along to their favorite songs.
The event dubbed ‘YFM, Baileys R&B Karaoke, Odo Ye Baileys Couples Edition’, will give patrons the opportunity sing their favourite songs while a panel of three judges will consider the overall talent and stage presence of each contestant. The audience will also serve as a veritable fourth judge by submitting votes for their favorites.
Speaking about the event, Eddy Blay, Programs manager for YFM stated that “in this season of love, YFM aims at bringing couples together through a healthy music competition. This will indeed go a long way to foster team bonding among couples.”
The contest is limited to a maximum of 7 contestants. To be part of this great Karaoke event, patrons will be expected to buy a ticket for GHS 50.
However, the event is for amateurs only, no professional or semi-pro singers will be allowed to compete. Couples can come into the Havanna Lounge for free by sending an email to roomservice107@gmail.com to be part of the guest list. Please note that all participants must be 18years or older.
After all songs are completed, votes will be tallied and winners will win various prizes including bottles of Baileys and souvenirs.
