YFM Accra’s broadcaster and manager, Rev Erskine (Erskine Amo Whyte), has been selected by the French Embassy in Ghana to represent the country at the second edition of the Création Africa Forum in Lagos, Nigeria.
The event, organized by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the French Embassy in Nigeria, brings together a select group of creative leaders and media professionals from across Africa to explore innovation, culture, and digital transformation across the continent.
Rev Erskine is the only Ghanaian journalist and one of just five media personalities selected from across Africa under the journalist/media category for this prestigious gathering, which runs from October 16–18, 2025, at key creative and cultural venues in Lagos, including the Alliance Française and the New Afrika Shrine.

The Création Africa Forum serves as a platform for cross-cultural dialogue, creative networking, and partnerships between Africa’s vibrant creative industries and French institutions. Through forums, exhibitions, and cultural immersions, participants will engage policymakers, innovators, and creative entrepreneurs in conversations on shaping the future of African media and digital storytelling.

Dr. Timothy Karikari, Director of Broadcasting at Global Media Alliance Broadcast Co., described Rev Erskine’s selection as “a well-deserved recognition of YFM’s commitment to youth empowerment and content innovation.” He added, “Rev Erskine’s representation of Ghana at such a global stage reflects the quality of leadership and creative excellence that YFM continues to nurture. We are proud of him and confident that his participation will open new doors for collaboration and visibility for Ghana’s media and creative industry.”
YFM’s representation at this high-level international forum underscores its continued leadership in youth culture and its growing influence across Africa’s creative and media ecosystem.
