The Youth in Business (YIB) Summit 2025 prepares to take place in Accra on September 18th and 19th at the British Council, bringing together young entrepreneurs, creatives, policymakers and innovators to explore business and development opportunities.
The event, held in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Development, will run under the theme “Ignite the Future: Youth Power, Innovation, and Impact.” It is expected to provide young people with practical tools, knowledge and inspiration to build successful businesses and contribute to Ghana’s economic growth.
The two-day summit will feature panel discussions, keynote speeches, skill-building workshops, and networking sessions.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Member of Parliament for Offoase-Ayeribi, is a seasoned public servant and strong advocate for youth-driven development. At the summit, he will highlight how supportive policy environments can unlock opportunities for young entrepreneurs through access to capital, mentorship, and targeted training.
Drawing on his political leadership and practical experience in development, he will connect governance with the real challenges faced by startups and small businesses, emphasizing the need for policies that translate into actionable, outcome-oriented programs for youth and community ventures.
Again, Mrs. Maryana Adu-Gyamfi, Head of Digital Channels at Enterprise Insurance Company, is a dynamic business leader and digital transformation strategist with over 15 years of experience across media, sales, innovation, and corporate leadership. At the summit, she will share insights on how digital channels are reshaping customer experience, building trust, and improving accessibility within traditional industries.
With a focus on scalable technology, data-driven decision-making, and empathetic leadership, she will demonstrate how established companies can successfully transform legacy operations while remaining competitive and agile, offering lessons that are equally valuable to both corporates and startups.
Dr. Timothy Karikari, Director at Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Corporation, brings decades of expertise in media, communications and human resource development. At the summit, he will discuss branding, ethical storytelling, and talent development, highlighting how strategic communications and people-focused leadership drive growth in creative industries.
Also, Mr. Gideon Asare, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adansi Travels and AI training expert, combines technology, education and affordable mobility to empower youth. At the summit, he will highlight how experiential learning, AI literacy, and global exposure drive career readiness, entrepreneurship and cross-cultural collaboration for sustainable innovation.
Other notable speakers include Joana Gyan Cudjoe, MP for Amenfi-Central, who will emphasize youth participation in politics and community development; actress and serial entrepreneur Fella Makafui, who will share lessons on branding, entertainment, and business diversification; and actress-entrepreneur Victoria Lebene, who will discuss her journey in business and entertainment.
Also featured are fashion designer Sadia Sanusi, Creative Director of SaadiaSanusi, who will speak on entrepreneurship in the creative industries; entrepreneur Kofi Osei, providing insights on startup growth and leadership; and award-winning actress and radio personality Amanda Jisseh, highlighting the role of media and storytelling.
Young people attending the summit will learn about emerging business trends, digital innovation, and sustainable practices. They will also take part in practical workshops on branding, leadership, and financial management.
Beyond the learning sessions, participants will connect with mentors, investors, and fellow entrepreneurs.
The summit is open to young entrepreneurs, startups, students interested in business, creatives and policy makers. Organizers encourage anyone passionate about youth empowerment and economic development to take part.

The Youth in Business (YIB) Impact Hub has announced the recipients of the 2025 YIB Impact Award, an honor that recognizes industrious individuals whose leadership and contributions have shaped their industries while inspiring the next generation. The awards will be presented on September 18, 2025, at the British Council, as part of this year’s Youth in Business Summit.
This year’s honorees represent music, media, politics, fashion, and entrepreneurship. They include renowned musician and entrepreneur Becca; media and legal professional Kennedy Osei; Joana Gyan Cudjoe, MP for Amenfi Central; fashion entrepreneur Sadia Sanusi; and Joycelyn Quashie, one of Ghana’s youngest MPs with a track record in youth-led initiatives.
Others are actress and philanthropist Fella Makafui, award-winning musician and entrepreneur Akwaaboah, media personality Stacy Amoateng, and Nana Darkowaa Ampem Kyerewaa II, Queen Mother of the Yamfo Traditional Area and community development advocate.
According to the organizers, these awardees embody the true spirit of youth power and innovation by breaking barriers, mentoring others, and leading initiatives that empower communities. By celebrating their achievements, the YIB Impact Award seeks to inspire more young people to pursue excellence, embrace innovation, and contribute to national development.
