And the Aston Villa winger revealed his bubbly personality during an interview on the club’s official YouTube channel.
Adomah took part in the FIAT500S chat with presenter Rachel Stringer and discussed his career so far.
It included talk of painting and decorating, famous commentator John Motson and a brief cameo for Ghana against USA at the 2014 World Cup.
Here’s what he had to say:
Non league grounding
I started from just playing local football with my friends, just kicking about in the park not playing for any academy side.
From there I joined a non league side, Harrow Borough. That’s more local to where I live in West London.
I started with the youth tam there, progressed to the first team and from then it was just history, turning professional with Barnet.
I always feel grateful and I have a moment to myself sometimes thinking.
Coming from non league football, stepping up the ladder slowly. Becoming professional at Barnet, going to Bristol City, all of it’s a platform in itself, even going to Middlesbrough as well.

Painting and decorating

When I finished college at first – I’m going back a bit – when I was around 17 or 18 and joined up with Harrow Borough.
At the same time I was doing a part time apprenticeship, learning how to do painting and decorating at NVQ Level 2 (Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting at the College of North West London).

Making a World Cup cameo appearance

It was a nice highlight. I went to the World Cup when I was playing for Middlesbrough.
I never thought I’d be playing with world class players, but I happened to go to the World Cup and played 15 minutes for my national team, Ghana.
Even if it had been just 30 seconds at least I went.
I was sponsored by John Motson, the Match of the Day commentator.
That’s his local side, Barnet.
When I used to play for them he sponsored me because he liked me and I think he wanted to contribute to his local side.

Settling in at Villa

If Im honest with you it didn’t really take hat long, probably less than a week because I had a friend here already, Jordan Ayew, who I used to play with in the national team.
So I felt really well settled in . Everyone at the club is really friendly so that really helps.
I can’t complain about that side of it. I really felt at home.
