The case was adjourned to April 13, 2017.
Presenting the factS of the case, Chief Inspector Victor Dosoo said the complainant, Daniel Adjin, was the son of the deceased, William Adjin, while Obirikwa is a brother of the deceased.
He said both lived at Chorkor.

Daniel rushed to the deceased porch and met Obirikwa with a knife stabbing his father with blood gushing from the deceased’s neck.
Daniel in turn shouted for help and attracted other neighbours who came to rescue the deceased but Obirikwa managed to escape.
According to Chief Inspector Dosoo, William was rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital for treatment but died hours later.
On March 20, 2017, at about 4:30am luck eluded Obirikwa when the deceased’s daughter, Dorinda Adjin, spotted him at James Town and with the help of some people, he was arrested and handed over to the police.
Obirikwa in his caution statement said that the deceased attacked him first and he also stabbed him in the process in order to free himself.
On March 24, 2017, a post- mortem performed on William established that he was stabbed six times. One each on his head and neck and four on the back.
The pathologist gave exsanguination and multiple stabbed injuries as the cause of death.
Obirikwa was accordingly held with a provisional charge of murder at the court.
