Zidane bombshell as Ronaldo and Co warm up for crunch CL clash against Atletico

Zinedine Zidane refused to commit his future to Real Madrid ahead of their crucial Champions League semi-final clash with rivals Atletico Madrid.
Zidane is out of contract with the Spanish giants in June and speculation continues to mount over whether he will still be in charge next season despite steering his side to the brink of another Champions League Final.
Reports in Spain have stated that a contract extension for the French legend is a ‘formality’ regardless of whether Madrid win major silverware this season.
Zidane was questioned once again about his future in the build-up to the big derby clash, but he refused to enter the debate and said he is not interested in the subject.

Zidane said: “The only thing I’m thinking about and concentrating on is (Tuesday’s) match. I’m not even thinking about Saturday’s match.
“I don’t know what will happen later on and it doesn’t interest me.”
Despite beating Atletico Madrid in two major finals in the last three years, Zidane insists his side are not the favourites to win the tie.

Zidane added: “It means nothing that we’ve beaten them in this competition.
“We are not the favourites as this is a semi-final and it’s 50-50. You can’t dwell on what’s gone before as what has happened, has happened.
“They have caused us difficulties, but so have many teams. Their strength is that they never give up, no matter what happens.
“I’m not thinking about Cardiff (the venue for the final) either. We have to win tomorrow’s game. We have prepared well and we are ready.
“Everyone is pumped up and we’re ready for the run-in. I wish the game would start now.”
Gareth Bale has been ruled out of the game with a calf injury and is set to be replaced by Isco, while Zidane confirmed that Raphael Varane is fit to play.
