The revelation of the 18-club league proposal by some Executive Committee members of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have received a lot of uproar among football lovers and some administrators of the game have expressed their resentment to the proposal.
Key among those averse to this proposal is Nana Oduro Sarfo who has asserted in no uncertain terms that it is dead even before it goes to the congress grounds.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Oduro Sarfo insisted that they (congress members) will kick against this proposal which look parochial and an attempt to cover for someone’s incompetence.
“This 18-club proposal is dead on arrival. Who ever proposed this should take it back because no one is going to fall for it. We it gets to the congress grounds, we will kick against it and vote heavily against it.” Oduro Sarfo said.
Another fiery brand and CEO of Techiman Eleven Wonders, Takyi Arhin has asked those who may have taken money to champion this course to return any such money because this proposal won’t see the light of day.
“If anyone has taken money to front this agenda, I would humbly suggest to that person to return the money because this proposal will not see the light of day. We will vote massively against it.” Takyi Arhin told Happy FM.
News of the proposed 18-club league broke out after Monday’s Executive Committee meeting at the Ghana Football Association secretariat.
