Black Stars B media Officer Opoku Afriyie in an interview on Ghana’s number one sports station Happy FM has revealed that the team is currently going through financial difficulties in the ongoing WAFU Cup of Nations in Senegal
According to him, the team has been neglected by the Sports Ministry and Football Association as they have been left to fend for themselves in camp.
Speaking in an interview with Ohene-Bampo Brenya on Anopa Bosuo Sports he revealed the team had gotten in touch with the Sports Ministry for support but the response received was not encouraging.
He said should there be any injury in camp it will be difficult for the medical doctors to even afford a scan on a player due to the financial situation in camp
Happy Sports also understands that per diems of players and the technical team have all not been paid
Opoku Afriyie further said, the Black Stars B are poised to revenge that painful defeat they suffered in the hands of Burkina Faso in the CHAN qualifier as both teams clash later today in the quarterfinals of the WAFU Cup.
