Sports broadcaster Aminu Mohammed aka ‘Lord’ Aminu ZYLA has died. The incident occurred at the University’s of Cape Coast Hospital at noon time today.
An eyes witness told this writer that Aminu, who was in a commercial car from Takoradi to Cape Coast, complained of heat in the car. The sliding windows were subsequently opened to allow in more fresh air. Just before the car got to Ataadadze junction, he fell unconscious and was rushed to Elmina Hospital but was referred to the UCC hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Aminu was on his way to perform his duty as the GFA Venue Media Officer at the Nduom Stadium where Elmina Sharks take on Accra Hearts of Oak.
Aminu Zyla had stints with Good news FM, Kyzz FM, Happy FM and Beach FM and Radio 360.
He has also worked at the Operations Manager of Sekondi Eleven Wise. He was a graduate of Fosu Training College with Professional Teacher’s Certificate A.
He is survived by three children and a wife. He was 47years.
