Sports Journalist, Ekow Asmah presenting prizes to Happy Sports Quiz winner, Edem Kpozo

Edem Kpogo emerged as the winner of the highly contested Happy Sports Quiz grand final held at the Achimota Mall on Sunday.

Mr Kpogo beat of competition from Effah Forson and Innocent Anku Kofi to win the ultimate prize.

Kpogo accumulated 38 points after three rounds while Effah Forson, finished in second position with 33 points. Innocent Anku Kofi placed third with 21 points.

Each contestant took home packages from sponsors as Edem Kpogo took home the trophy, the bragging right and an amazing range of prizes including a television set, an HD+ decoder, a jersey and boxes of soft drinks among several others while Mr.Forson also took home a refrigerator and an HD+ decoder among other incentives.

“Happy Fm has proved to be indeed an all-inclusive station with no room for discrimination. Today I contested against a visually impaired who gave us all a run for our money. He has been brilliant throughout the competition to reach here and placed second, for me he is the winner. I’m thankful for the support and to Happy for hosting this competition. It was a learning process for us all,” Edem Kpogo, winner of the 2022 Happy Sports Quiz shared.

On his part, the Programmes Manager of Happy98.9 FM, Elwoode Mantey remarked, “The competition since the preliminary stages has been a tough but fun contest. Congratulations to the finalist for making it this far and to the winner for sweeping home the ultimate prize. Applause to Mr. Forson who beat the odds, proved again and again to us that disability is not inability. To our Sports team for putting this up we say thank you and to our sponsors we appreciate the devotion to the brand.”

The competition hosted at the Achimota Mall on November 21, 2022, saw the premises filled with football fans cheering up the finalist ahead of Happy98.9 FM’s viewing party of the opening game of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
