Nora Hauptle, the head coach of Ghana’s women’s national team, is preparing for a pivotal showdown in the 2024 Olympic Games qualification against Benin. Today, Coach Hauptle has revealed her carefully chosen squad as they aim to progress to the third round of the African qualifiers.

The coach’s squad selection showcases a few notable changes, with Azumah Bugre from IK Nokorpping making a comeback after missing the previous call-up due to an injury setback. Additionally, Blessing Shine Agbomadzi, the AS FAR defender, has earned her place in the squad following an impressive season with her club.

Mary Amponsah, Stella Nyamekye, Kerrie McCarthy, and Adama Alhassan are the only home-based players retained in the squad. Their talent and dedication continue to shine.

The Black Queens of Ghana will embark on a journey to Cotonou for the first-leg encounter against Benin on October 27. Fans can look forward to an intense showdown as the second leg of the tie is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 31.
