Assistant coach of Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani is optimistic of Ghana’s chances of qualifying ahead of their Group I opponents for a place in the 2026 World Cup.
Ghana has been handed tricky group opponents namely Mali, Madagascar, Central Africa Republic, Comoros, and Chad for the qualifiers of the 2026 World Cup to be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The Black Stars will be aiming to make a fifth appearance after qualifying for four out of their last five World Cups.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM, coach Dramani stated the Black stars have the quality to qualify out of their group outing but would have to be unified to do so.
He also added that keeping the core of Ghana’s team would be very important if the team wants to make its fifth World Cup appearance.
Didi Dramani acknowledged that, for our national teams to punch above their weights in competitions, patience is required.
Meanwhile, the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup are scheduled to take place from November 2023 to November 2025.
