Celebrated Ghanaian songstress Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong popularly known as Becca has slammed the act of having artistes signing on another artistes.
According to Becca, who is celebrating 10 years in the music industry, it’s unacceptable for an artiste to sign another because the latter might be stifled by the former.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, Becca bemoaned that, “the mistake several people do is for an artiste to sign an artiste. This is because there is no way the artiste, who is still doing music and goes to the studio everyday, will put you the new artiste ahead of him.” Becca told Happy FM.
She added that an artiste would be too busy to manage another artiste.
“An artiste cannot have enough time to manage another artiste and give him the desired attention. I’ll really congratulate Richie Mensah of Lynx Entertainment for him sitting back and signing artistes like MzVee, Kuami Eugene, Kidi among others. Since he was a good musician, even if he decides to comeback into music, we know that he took some time off to nurture people, and we all can see how his artistes are really thriving. Moreover, he is not competing with them but rather putting in his best effort.” Becca emphasized.
