Second vice-president of Africa Armwrestling Federation, Engineer Samuel Jackson is set to land in Ghana to engage the Ghana Armwrestling Federation on their readiness for the upcoming Africa Armwrestling Championship.
The Nigeria will, over the weekend, inspect facilities which will be used for the championship slated to be staged in Ghana in July 2018.
During his short stay in Ghana, he will hold talks with president of the Ghana Federation, Charles Osei Asibey and his executives where they are expected to confer on the way forward for the sport on the continent.
Since the introduction of the federation in Ghana in October 2016, it has been one the fastest growing sports in Ghana and the target of the Federation is to win at least 100 medals in the Championship when it’s hosted here in July.
