As part of Vodafone’s 10th anniversary celebration, the telecom giant has rewarded over 100 loyal Fixed Broadband customers with a free shopping experience at Melcom. The ecstatic customers, who have been using the service for over 10years, shared their experience after shopping for their favorite items.
A worker at Christian Outreach Fellowship, Madam Grace Akpene Eko narrated how her many years on the Fixed Broadband service have paid off. “Three weeks ago, I got a call from Vodafone that I’ve won a voucher to shop at Melcom. Now, I have been able to get household items for free thanks to Vodafone.”
An elated customer, Alexandar Kuma was full of praise for how Vodafone randomly selected him to benefit from the surprise package. “I’m very honoured and shocked to be called by Vodafone to receive a shopping voucher. The surprise is amazing and I enjoy their service too.”
“I wasn’t expecting anything from Vodafone so getting this package has made me believe Vodafone truly cares about its customers”, Kwesi Manu said.
Another customer, Daniel Coffie said a big thank you to Vodafone Ghana for the wow shopping experience. “Cheers to Vodafone. They are large and in charge.”
Vodafone Ghana set the tone for the anniversary with the launch of “Vodafone PayDay” where customers win every hour; every day, every week, every month and ultimate winners gets GHS 200K by accumulating points for every activity till the campaign is over.
Vodafone took over the erstwhile Ghana Telecom company for US$900million in 2008 after the agreement was ratified by Ghana’s Parliament. The sale by government of the then ailing Ghana Telecom company was to encourage private participation in the public sector and for the company to assume a new air of freshness in innovation and creativity.
Ten years down the line, Vodafone has become a household name in Ghana and a leader in digital technology and a pacesetter in product, services and customer experience.
