Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) George Afriyie has revealed that his outfit has no official knowledge of Sport Cul, the consortium who have proposed a $44m deal for the Ghana Football clubs.
George holds that in as much as the deal would whet the appetite of almost everyone, Sports Cul must disclose the investors who are ready to pump such huge amount of money into our football so that proper due dilligence could be conducted on them.
Speaking to Happy FM Wednesday morning, George Afriyie asked Sports Cul to come see the Ghana FA so they take them through the proper procedures and give them expert advice on the venture since theyseem to lack understanding of how things work.
“GFA doesn’t know about Sports Cul officially though I have heard them speak on air a couple of times. If this supposed deal turns out to be a reality, everyone will be excited but as it stands, it leaves several doubts in the minds of people. It will advice Sports Cul to come and get some advice on how to do this properly. We need to know where the track record of this investor so we can do proper due diligence.” George told Happy FM.“
