Known professionally as Jey Luchy but born Joseph Kofi Amoah Jnr, the Ghanaian rapper has asserted that musicians should use every lyrical beef they find themselves in to elevate their craft to the next level.

On his accord, lyrical beefs are not moments for an artiste to get all emotional on happenings but indicated that, any good artiste who knows what he or she is about will see great opportunities in there.

Speaking on Happy 98.9 FM’s Ayekoo After Drive show with Doctar Cann, the rap beast said, “Beefs are very good and I see it as a business avenue”. Proving his knowledge of the business aspect of music, Jey Luchy furthered that beefs are basically avenues for artistes to promote themselves.

The artiste believes beefs bring out the best in musicians as they have to think on their feet and bring out back to back tracks as responses in very short spaces of time. “It shows how creative you are as an artiste and can be a stepping stone for you”, he added.

Advising colleague musicians on the importance of beefs, he shared, “When others come at you with beefs, prepare for it and treat it as a life and death situation and give it your best. Beef brings the best in you and is not about violence or grudges. But it is the time for one to speak his/her mind and show the world who is the better amongst the artistes involved.

Born and raised in Ghana, Jey Luchy travelled to Russia at the age of 18 where he began his musical career. With his irresistible rap talent, Jey Luchy signed his first deal with Russia’s top music producer 1Bula and also featured a renowned Russian singer, Rita Richi.

The artiste has dope tracks to his credit from ‘Gang Way’ which talks about how leading fake lives for social media puts pressure on young people and affects mental health.

He is also recognized for bangers such as ‘Get Out of My Way’, ‘Taafia’ and a host of many others.
