Hearts of Oak secretariat under siege

Hearts of Oak National Chapters Committee Charman, Elvis Herman Hesse has debunked comments made by Board member Dr Nyaho Tamakloe that last Wednesday’s protest from the fans was influenced by external parties.

Fans of Hearts of Oak protested over the recent happenings in the club following the mass resignation of technical staff headed by Kosta Papic.

The technical team had depleted just after a week as Deputy Coach Asare Bediako resigned from his post, followed by Kosta Papic who sighted interference from top officials of the club, among others and goalkeepers’ trainer Ben Owu.

The mass resignations saw the fans protesting against the management and the majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV over bad management.

Dr Nyaho Tamakloe in his address to the media on the protest from the fans said they were motivated and influenced by people they know.

According to the Supporters’ Chief, it is unfair for such a comment from the Board member as the supporters acted on their own accord due to the current happenings in the club.

“We were never influenced by anybody to protest against the current happenings within the club. It’s such an unfair comment coming from him”, he told Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy Sports on Happy 98.9FM.

Elvis Herman Hesse said the aim behind the protest has yielded results as the Board has responded to some demands made.

“The protest has yielded results and now we can get some answers when the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held. Our AGM will be held in June and I didn’t even know as a Board member until the protest. Now we have to educate our supporters ahead of the floatation of the shares so they can buy more.

“The only way for peace to prevail is when we the supporters’ body meet with the Board”, he added.
