Hearts of Oak Board Member, Alhaji Akambi, say they have been vindicated following Kosta Papic’s appointment at PSL side Black Leopards.

The Serbian coach quit Hearts of Oak on Monday sighting interference from the Board and management in his line of duty leading to his resignation.

Papic after leaving the country on Wednesday, was announced as Technical Director of South African side Black Leopards, just three days after resigning from his post at Hearts Of Oak.

Alhaji Akambi in an interview with Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9FM said the coach had a plan to leave the job hence causing all this brouhaha before his exit.

“Fans of the club have protested against the current happenings in the club with most accusing Alhaji Akambi and Vincent Odotey-Sowuah for the current woes facing the club”.

“I have my integrity to protect. As we are saying have we have been vindicated. Those saying we have sacked Papic, now the truth is out. This guy knew what he was planning, saying we were interfering in his work”.

“He had his plan, knew what he wanted, betrayed all of us. The whole media were insulting me, Vincent Odotei-Sowah and Togbe Afede XIV”, he concluded.
