Ghanaian controversial speaker, Kwaku Peprah popularly known as Quotation Master has emphatically stated that Pastors are more influential compared to Politicians in the African setting.

He said this in reference to the brouhaha around the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) community in the country.

In an interview with Rev Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9 FM’s Nsem Pii show, he said, “People listen and believe in pastors than they believe and trust Politicians. They believe all Pastors are from God and mostly, everything a Pastor says comes true”.

He also believes Pastors have power over Politicians because, “every Sunday, they (Pastors) teach a number of people in the church and the knowledge they impact them with is also transferred to others unlike politicians who are only heard of during elections. If Pastors didn’t have any power, churches won’t be as full as they are everyday”, he asserted.

He furthered that in such a period where the legalization of the LGBTQI is being considered, Pastors should take a stand and fight it. “They always have the audience and people listen and respect most of the judgements they make”.

He advised Pastors to be vigilant so they are not influenced by anyone in the position of power to turn a blind eye to the issue. “The entire LGBTGI issue is now a major concern to Ghanaians”, he mentioned.
