According to Mikki Osei Berko brand ambassador of Piccadilly Biscuits, the gesture is to support the Islamic community ahead of Ramadan.

“I would love to announce to His Eminence Chief Imam that the brand is 65years in Ghana and is being celebrated all over. The brand also believes in giving and love, all the characteristics of Ramadan and also believes it’s important we support a cause like this because it brings a lot of spiritual, economical and positive things to this country.”

“Piccadilly Biscuits will be available to supply any Biscuits need of this palace,” he added.

For his part, Sheikh Dr Sharubutu prayed for Piccadilly Biscuits and asked Allah to grant them good luck and success in all their endeavours.

He expressed profound gratitude to Piccadilly for the donation, stressing: “It is Allah alone who will reward the company for this gesture and give them all the support and peace they need”.

On her part, Deputy Managing Director of the brand, Millicent Kaba said, “the company has donated as much as the palace can distribute to the community. So everybody in the community will have a portion of this donation.

She also showed appreciation to Allah, the Managing Director – Mr Roy Sommers, Management and employees of Piccadilly Biscuits Limited, Stakeholders – indispensable customers and Hi-Lynks Communication team for making the short ceremony possible.
