A communicator of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Annom Boateng affectionately called Francois has charged President Akufo-Addo to not hesitate in sacking any member of his cabinet, who underperforms in his 2nd term of office.

Francois believes it is only with such a strong hand that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) can achieve its ‘break the 8’ agenda.

He believes the 2nd term of the ruling party is crucial as they (NPP) would have to build upon the legacies of President Akufo-Addo’s two terms to secure a 3rd term and make history.

“President Akufo-Addo must quickly fire any Minister or Deputy who underperforms or misbehaves in his 2nd term. We shouldn’t waste any time with that”, he said.

He added that foot soldiers are very critical in a party’s success and any appointee who also disregards them (foot soldiers) does not mean the party well. “Our appointees shouldn’t lord their positions over foot soldiers. This is a critical time and we need the support of everyone”.

Speaking in an interview on the Epa Hoa Daben political talk show with Don Kwabena Prah, he said, “The ministers and other appointees should be humble. They should only conduct themselves in a manner that will support us in retaining power. Breaking the 8 is not that simple and I hope all appointees will deliver”.
