Liverpool are interested in signing Ghanaian youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku following his collapsed move to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Steadfast FC winger arrived in Germany to complete his move to the club  with his agent Peter Obiara Ejias.

Bayer Leverkusen pulled out of the deal in the last minute to sign the Ghanaian attacker after accusing his agent of not being trustworthy, as reported by Kicker.

The agent Peter Obiora Ejiasi has been accused of hawking the player to other clubs like Liverpool after they had arrived in Germany to seal the deal.

The controversial agent is also said to be angling for other options which forced the German side to pull out of the deal sensing the controversies and lack of trust that might surround the talented player’s career.

Liverpool have shown strong interest and currently leading the race to sign the talented youngster following his failed move to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Reds are preparing a bid to sign the 17-year-old in the summer transfer window, according to a report by Goal.com

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been impressive for his club Steadfast FC in the ongoing National Division One League and is the only player from the lower-division to be invited to the Black Stars ahead of next month international friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast.

The left winger is also on the radar of a lot of European clubs that are battling for his signature.

Abdul Fatawu is a huge prospect due to his talent but the youngster still 17 years will not be eligible to sign a professional contract until he turns 18 on March 2022.
