Hasaacas ladies Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Evelyn Nsiah Asare has called on the government and women in authority to come to their aid.

The team is set to leave the shores of Ghana to Ivory Coast for the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League to be staged between 17th and 30th July 2021.

Due to financial setback, the team will be ‘trotting’ to Ivory Coast by road instead of using the airport. Amidst these non-friendly situation, the CEO has charged governmental forces to rescue the Ladies from such stressful conditions which could cost the team not only physically, but could affect their psyche and hence render them unsuccessful in their vision.

Speaking on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9FM, Mrs Nsiah Asare said “I am pleading with government to invest in women’s football because in other countries, women’s football and men’s football are treated equally”.

“We were expecting the ministers who are women to help us but none has responded. Sometimes I really get sad but I don’t want to blame anyone. We have sent a lot of letters to numerous people and organizations but nobody has responded to us. The corporate institutions should please also help us”.

“When we go for this competition, the national anthem of Ghana will be played not that of Hasaacas Ladies, so I am begging the President, the First Lady and all female MPs and ministers to help us”, she added

Meanwhile, there is a ‘mild’ hope in the air as the Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has promised to meet them on their trouble
