Ghana will face Nigeria in the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars were paired with Nigeria in the draw held on Saturday by CAF.
Ghana will host regional rivals Nigeria in the first leg of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers before traveling for the second leg.
According to FIFA president Gianni Infantino, more Africa teams will get to represent in the competition after the 2026 tournament to be staged in Mexico, USA and Canada.
“More African teams and talent will get to participate in the tournament with the number of teams increasing from
5 teams to 9 teams after 2026 World Cup”, Infantino said in his message before the Live draw
“African football will indeed be among the best in the world, CAF President Patrice Motsepe said.
World Cup 2022 takes place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18; 32 teams to compete in eight groups; full schedule to be confirmed after finals draw in April 2022;
