Auditions for Rapture II begins

Auditions for the second edition of YFM Ghana’s rap reality show, ‘Rapture’ is set to take off across the Y triangle (Y107.9FM-Accra, Y102.5FM-Kumais, Y97.9FM-Takoradi) from Wednesday May 25, 2022.

The auditions will separate the seeds from the chaff and ensure only the best out of the best represent their regions at ‘Rapture II’.

Contestants will battle it out at the auditions and participants who accumulate the highest points on the leaderboard will qualify for the next round of the contest.

Auditions will take place in Accra and simultaneously in Kumasi and Takoradi. In Accra, Rapture II auditions will take place at the Accra Mall at 10:00am. In Kumasi, the team will hold auditions at Nhyiaeso, off the Ahodwo road (close to the MTN office) and at the Takoradi Mall at 4:00pm.

Speaking on the preparations for the auditions, Project Lead for Rapture II, Ato Kwamina had this to say: “The long wait for Rapture II is over as we start the auditions on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. This is the opportunity for all those who sent in their entries to prove they are the best amongst other participants. The best way to impress the judges is to be yourself, deliver the best bars and you’re good to be raptured.”

‘Rapture’ is beautifully and creatively coined from source words Rap + Culture and Future seeks to keep the rap culture alive. ‘Rapture’ will also provide a phenomenal opportunity for Hip-hop to shine.

The winner of Rapture II will take home a whopping GHS 10,000 among other amazing prizes.

Rapture II is supported by e.tv Ghana, HappyFM, 4Syte TV, Black Avenue Musik, Crux Global, Ghanaweb and B&FT.
