Black Maidens management committee member, Nana Oduro Sarfo, says the Ghana Football Association will file a protest against Mauritania referee Aissata Amadou.

The Mauritania referee was in charge of Morocco vs Ghana game in the second leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier.

The Black Maidens won the first leg 2-0 in Accra before losing 4-2 on penalties in the second leg in Morocco on Saturday.

Morocco eliminated Ghana in the qualifiers through the penalty shootouts which ended 4-2 after 2-2 aggregate score line.

Giving an account of what transpired in Morocco, Nana Oduro Sarfo revealed the team was subjected to intimidation tactics by the Moroccans which he described as well planned.

“It is some Ghanaians who have caused our downfall and they know themselves. The Moroccans were aided by some Ghanaians on their age cheating claims. When we reached their country they claimed we were still using overage players. We were subjected to COVID-19 tests and we lost four of our key players.

“We were not able to train even a day to the game which is mandatory by CAF. We were subjected to a whole lot of checks”.

The Berekum Chelsea CEO added, “I will write my report to the General Secretary to petition CAF and assess the performance of the referees. My recommendation is to review the work of the referees and if anything punish them to serve as a deterrent to the others”
