Black Princesses and Hasaacas Ladies Attacker, Doris Boaduwaa, says she feels privileged to have been the one to score the only goal for the Black Princesses despite exiting the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Black Princesses were eliminated from the ongoing competition at the group stage for the seventh time after suffering a humiliating defeat to the Netherlands in the final group D game.

Ghana failed to record a win at the group stages, losing all three matches against USA, Japan and The Netherlands while scoring only one goal in the tournament.

Speaking an in interview on Happy FM, Boaduwaa told Ohene Bampoe Brenya that, when most players get to the World Cup stage, they get frightened and can’t deliver so although it was a disappointing campaign, she is excited to have got a goal to her name.

“The World Cup is the biggest stage for any player to prove themselves and thinking of that alone can be frightening for some of us.

“If you are not really confident, you can’t pull your weights in the World Cup.

“So haven’t been able to score a goal on such a big stage proves I also did my best there”, she added.
