Foreign Policy and Security Analyst, Adib Saani, has urged President Nana Akuffo Addo to order for the arrest of Charles Adu Boahen, the former Minister of State at the Finance Ministry.

Mr Charles Adu Boahen was sacked from the office because of a brewing corruption scandal which was captured by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI Team.

Adib Saani reiterated that Ghanaians who disobeyed the law have been punished in accordance to the rules and regulations of the country, hence Charles Adu Boahen shouldn’t be an exemption.

In an interview with Samuel Eshun on e.tv Ghana’s Fact Sheet show, he expressed dismay and lack of confidence and respect for the Special Prosecutor.

He believes that both the office of the President and the Special Prosecutor have not acted fairly and have been mpartial in dealing with Charles Adu Boahen’s case.

“The president has to prove that yes indeed, he is committed to addressing corruption in the country by setting an example of Charles Adu Boahen” He said.

He further mentioned that the former Minister of State’s case is being treated with kids gloves due to political affiliations with the ruling party.
