Marriage counselor, Ellen Gyamerah-Ako, has advised couples to base the foundation of their relationships on good communication.
She noted that relationships built on ineffective communication tend to be destroyed within a jiffy.
“Every relationship thrives on effective communicator and anything other than that collapses the relationship,” she shared during a marital counseling session for couples registered for the Happy FM Mass Wedding on the topic; ‘Effective Communication In Marriage’.
According to her, every relationship should be built on honesty, adding that distrust and lies destroy the foundation of marriages.
Sharing insights into the key to successful marriages, she urged couples to forgive and forget.
“We should forgive and be ready to let go of things rather than remind our partners of their past errors,” she said.
Mama Ellen championed respectful communication in relationships, reminding couples to always encourage their partners.
