Assistant coach for Ghana Premier League(GPL) side, Aduana Stars, W.O Tandoh, has said that his side is still on course to win the 2022/23 betPawa GPL title despite failing to pick up all maximum points in recent matches.

Aduana Stars have recorded just one victory in their last six games in the league.

They failed to secure maximum points for the second consecutive game after being held to secure a 1-1 draw by Berekum Chelsea in a tightly contested encounter on Wednesday.

Aduana Stars’ lead at the top of the GPL table is under threat, as they currently sit just one point ahead of the chasing pack.

In an interview on Happy FM, assistant coach for Aduana Stars, W.O Tandoh was however optimistic the current league leaders can still go on to win the title.

” There are still eleven matches to go and I have always said that the race for the league title has just begun. Aduana Stars is still on course just like the other clubs and we are working around the clock to emerge victorious with the league title” he told Joe Debrah on Wamputu Sports.

”Failing to pick up maximum points in our previous matches is a thing of the past and we are focused on winning the rest of our matches,” he added.

Aduana Stars will now turn their attention to their next game at home against Tamale City as they look to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
