Former B. A United and All Blacks player, Felix Ankamah, has opened up on his life after retiring from professional football.

According to him, as a way of giving back to society, he is excited whenever he volunteers on weekends to train talented young lads in his community who wants to pursue football as a career.

Speaking in an interview on Happy FM’s Where Are They? program, the retired player advised other ex-players to try and give back to society by adding their knowledge in sports as a way of promoting football in Ghana.

” Though I’m currently into my own business, I have still managed to gather some young lads in my area who I train every weekend to help them learn the basics about football. It is not a football team, it just comprises of the young lads in the area where I teach them how to kick the ball, where to kick…just the basic techniques” he told Ohene Bampoe Brenya host of Happy Sports.

“I do this for free and it is just my part of giving back to society and I’m glad to do this. I’ve also received lots of calls from people who want to come on board to support this initiative. Sometimes these things can be very valuable and I will urge all other ex-players to volunteer to give back to society,” he added.
