Head coach of Nsoatreman FC, Mumuni Abubakar, has attributed his team’s defeat to poor officiating from officials who took charge of their 2023/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League(GPL) match week 26 fixture against giants Hearts of Oak.

The ‘Efiri Tete Amanaso’ outfit(Nsoatreman FC) suffered a 2-1 loss to Hearts of Oak in a tricky clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Phillip Ofori’s own goal coupled with the other from Amankwah Baafi shot Hearts of Oak into a two-goal lead but Samuel Ofori later pulled one back for Nsoatreman FC.

However, during the match, an unfortunate incident happened in the 70th minute after the ball appeared to have hit the hand of Hearts player, Robert Addo Sowah in the box to which Nsoatreman FC was given a penalty.

Referee Fredrick Samena after consulting the fourth official rescinded his decision and that enraged the traveling team who complained bitterly afterward.

In an interview on Happy FM about the game, coach Mumuni Abubakar got furious and questioned why the referee changed his decision after he had pointed to the spot.

“The match versus Hearts of Oak was a very difficult one. The penalty call from the referee was the right one but we are disappointed the decision was rescinded after consulting the fourth official. We are disappointed because this isn’t fair and it isn’t the first time Nsoatreman has suffered from such bad officiating from referees.”

Nsoatreman FC are now in the danger zone, occupying the 16th spot with 31 points and will host King Faisal in the next round of matches
