Communications Director for Division One League club Nations FC, Kennedy Boakye Ansah, has expressed satisfaction at the verdict of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) Disciplinary Committee after their protest against Skyy FC.

This comes after the GFA slapped Skyy FC with a six points deduction and a fine of Ghc2500 after investigations proved that they were guilty of double registration of a player.

Nations FC, who lost 3-0 to Skyy FC filed a protest against their opponents accusing them of fielding an unqualified player when the two teams clashed last month.

Skyy FC winger, Victor Edgan Jnr was accused of not having the required certification for a name change, and also using different FIFA ID Numbers.

Speaking in an interview on Happy 98.9 FM’s Wamputu Sports about the FA’s verdict, the spokesperson for Nations FC, Kennedy Boakye Ansah lauded the GFA for a fair judgment.

“This news is refreshing to the Nations FC. Football is run by rules and regulations and once they are violated, the culprit must be punished. Nations FC presented all the necessary evidence to the FA and we are satisfied with the points awarded us,” he told Joe Debrah.

“Nations FC is still on course to qualify for the Premier League, it is still a work in process and we are working towards that, “ he added.

Skyy FC have the opportunity to appeal the decision, however, as it stands Nations FC are back on top of the table.
