Black Stars goalie Jojo Wollacott joins Scottish club Hibernian

Hibernian FC has signed Ghanaian goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott on a three-year contract, with Charlton Athletic receiving an undisclosed amount.

As a Ghana international, the 26-year-old shot-stopper has 11 caps to his name.

Wollacott reunites with Hibernian manager Lee Johnson, with whom he previously worked at Bristol City.

Wollacott, who unfortunately missed the previous World Cup due to a finger injury sustained in the warm-up before the tournament, will provide healthy competition for captain David Marshall in the goalkeeping position.

During his seven years at Bristol City, Wollacott had multiple loan spells before joining Swindon Town for the 2021-22 season. He subsequently made the move to League One with Charlton Athletic last summer, featuring in 20 games.

In addition to Wollacott, Hibernian has also recently announced the signings of left-back Jordan Obita and veteran forward Adam Le Fondre, bolstering their squad for the upcoming season.
