Former Asante Kotoko Greater Accra Regional Circus chairman, Emmanuel Boamah has expressed displeasure at the way the club is run.
Keen on turning things around for next season, Asante Kotoko is reportedly in talks to set up a new board and management team to steer the affairs of the team after its dissolution earlier this month.
Chairman Boamah believes the short terms given to the club’s board and management are not ideal. They should be given longer periods to steer the club in the right direction.
In an interview on Happy FM, Mr. Boamah acknowledged that for the club to return to its glory days, it would require time to do so.
He advised Otumfuo to change his method of running the club because no businessman would invest in a club with a short-term plan.
“If the affairs of the team are entrusted to certain individuals or a businessman to be a board member or management member, they should be given at least 10 years to run things. The businessman who will invest will also have to reap the benefits. If even they are to dissolve the board or management, you just don’t sack everyone on the board or in the management team”.
