Paa Kwesi Fabian, the new head coach of Legon Cities FC, says he decided not to appoint an assistant coach immediately after assuming the position. According to him, this is due to some coaching experiences he has had.

Fabin was officially unveiled today 8 August, 2023 as Legon Cities’ new coach replacing Maxwell Konadu who joined Nsoatreman Football Club ahead of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

He signed a two-year contract with the Royals ahead of the new season.

Speaking to the press during his unveiling, coach Fabin said, “I don’t want to rush into appointing an assistant coach. I’ll take my time to appoint someone with whom I can share the same DNA with, someone who would understand what I want to achieve”.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin will be looking to bring his wealth of experience on board as he hopes to guide Legon Cities to punch above their weights in next season’s GPL after they placed 9th last season.

He was close to leading Aduana Football Club to league triumph last season until they missed out in the latter part of the season to champions Medeama SC.
