Carlo Nohra, the Head of Saudi Pro League Operations, has expressed his delight over the signing of legendary player Cristiano Ronaldo.

The addition of the football icon to the Saudi Pro League roster has not only invigorated the competition on the field but has also elevated its global stature.

“Signing Cristiano Ronaldo to play in Saudi Arabia has helped broadcast the championship to 140 countries and increased the league revenue by 650%,” exclaimed Nohra during a recent press conference.

This bold step to bring Ronaldo to the Saudi Pro League has proven to be a strategic masterstroke, enhancing the league’s appeal and boosting its economic prospects.

The impact of Ronaldo’s presence on the field has been tangible, with his exceptional skills and remarkable career trajectory serving as an inspiration to players and fans alike.

Ronaldo signed a two-year deal with Al Nassr in 2021 and has been their main star healing games.

In 9 games this 2023/24 season, he has registered 9 goals and 2 assists.

As one of the most recognizable and celebrated football figures, Ronaldo’s participation has garnered widespread media coverage, driving interest from previously untapped markets.

Nohra’s assertion of an astounding 650% increase in league revenue since Ronaldo’s signing underscores the tremendous financial benefits that this move has yielded.

The heightened global attention has attracted lucrative sponsorship deals and broadcasting rights agreements, injecting substantial resources into the league’s development and expansion initiatives.

The Saudi Pro League has now become a melting pot of talent and diversity, drawing players and fans from various corners of the world.

The likes of Neymar, Sadio Mane, Brosovic, Mendy, Koulibaly, Mahrez, Benzema, and Kante have all joined the league this summer.

The ripple effect of this signing extends beyond the field, as it fosters cultural exchanges and promotes the international growth of the sport.

With the continued involvement of high-profile players like Ronaldo, the league is poised to maintain its upward trajectory on the global football stage.
