Seth Gyimah, popularly known as Freezy Macbones, has suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the middleweight (80kg) division.

MacBones was outclassed by his Senegalese opponent, Seydou Konate, in a highly anticipated matchup that left Ghanaian fans in disbelief.

He entered the qualifiers with high hopes of securing a spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics. His charismatic personality and impressive track record had made him a fan favorite. However, the Senegalese Konate proved to be a formidable adversary.

The match, which took place in a packed Dakar arena, was closely watched by fans and sports enthusiasts worldwide. Macbones and Konate engaged in a fierce battle that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Both fighters displayed exceptional skill and determination, making it a thrilling contest.

Ultimately, it was Konate who emerged victorious, dealing a heart-wrenching blow to Gyimah’s Olympic dreams.

As the Paris 2024 Olympics draws near, Seydou Konate’s impressive victory has solidified his status as a formidable contender in the middleweight division.

Freezy, however has a chance to qualify through Asia and Europe (play-offs arrangement) next year and will hoping to bounce and secure a place in next year’s Olympic Games.
