Residents and commercial drivers in Ashaiman have blocked all motor vehicles from using roads in the area in a bid to signal the government on the poor state of roads in the township.
The demonstration which commenced today, October 3, 2023 has resulted in heavy vehicular traffic in the area.
Commercial Drivers who frequent roads in Ashaiman have refused to move and have parked their cars at their respective stations, and are presently awaiting response from the government concerning the state of the roads.
Sources revealed to happy.ghana.com that residents of Ashaiman have blocked road access from New Town and Appolonia.
Poor road network remains a nationwide problem which has resulted in fatal motor accidents and loss of lives especially in Ashaiman and its enclave.
