Dr. Charles Osei Antoh, the owner of Bectaro FC, has been elected chairman of the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association (RFA) in an elective congress at the Liberation Barracks in Sunyani on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Dr. Antoh clinched an impressive victory with 73 votes out of a total of 155, securing the coveted leadership position in the region.

This significant win for Dr. Osei Antoh comes after a fiercely contested race, where he faced strong competition from Meshack Asante Ameyaw and ace broadcaster Dickson Kyere-Duah. With 73 votes in his favor, Dr. Osei Antoh managed to outpace his opponents, leaving Meshack Asante Ameyaw with 19 votes and Dickson Kyere-Duah with 63 votes.

The newly elected chairman, Dr. Charles Osei Antoh, expressed his commitment to unifying the Brong Ahafo RFA and advancing the region’s football development during an interview on Happy FM.

However, despite his victory, Dr. Antoh revealed that he is yet to receive congratulatory messages from his fellow contenders, emphasizing the importance of unity within the football community.

Dr. Osei Antoh, who also serves as the Owner of Bectaro FC, took the opportunity to call for unity and collaboration among all stakeholders in regional football. He stressed the need for collective efforts to elevate the Brong Ahafo RFA to new heights, underlining that success in football requires teamwork both on and off the field.

Dr. Osei Antoh succeeds Raphael Gyambrah, whose four-year term as the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association chairman had come to an end in October.
