Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, the CEO of the National Petroleum Authority and a prominent figure within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reiterated his support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the NPP’s ongoing flagbearer race.

Abdul-Hamid’s endorsement came as he highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s remarkable qualities. He stated, “I’m sure no one can debate me when I say Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is quite a good debater. He is quite adept at economic arguments.”

The NPA boss underlined that Dr. Bawumia has been at the epicentre of shaping and implementing economic policies for the past seven years, making him uniquely qualified to lead the NPP in articulating its message to the Ghanaian people.

“He’s been at the centre of policies for the last seven years. So he is somebody that provides the best opportunity for the NPP to rally around to articulate its message to push back and to show in reality what the NPP has done for the Ghanaian people,” he added.

He further emphasised that Dr. Bawumia’s economic expertise makes him the only capable personality to communicate the NPP’s accomplishments effectively, making a compelling case for his suitability to lead the party and continue its work for the benefit of the Ghanaian population.
